The Association adopted the title of 'National' Registered Assessors Association, expanding to cover all States within the Commonwealth of Australia. The name is generally shortened to either the N.R.A.A. or National Registered Assessors.

The NRAA has amalgamated with TRANZnet Association, an international association made up of like minded members of the industrial training and assessing community.
The Association is a "not for profit" organisation with volunteer committee members.
